Fresh tomato chutney Recipe
Fresh tomato chutney is a Chutney recipe for 8 people, takes only 20 mins; recipe has tomato, red onion and coriander.
Ingredients
- Coriander - 2 handfuls of fresh coriander, finely chopped
- Olive Oil - 1 tbsp olive oil
- Red Onion - 1 large red onion, finely chopped
- Tomato - 6 large vine-ripened tomatoes
- Cumin Seed - 1 tsp cumin seed
Instructions
- Halve the tomatoes, remove the seeds, chop the flesh and place in a sieve over a bowl so the excess juices can drain away.
- Put the onion and coriander into a bowl. Heat the oil and fry the cumin seeds for about 30 seconds then tip them into the bowl. Mix in the tomatoes, cover and chill.
- To serve, add some salt (see tip below) and serve.
