Quick winter recipe for 8-10 people, takes only 15 mins; recipe has orange, red wine, caster sugar, clove, cinnamon stick, star anise, ginger and brandy.

Ingredients
- Red Wine: 1 bottle red wine
- Orange: 1 orange, halved and sliced
- Ginger: 3 slices fresh ginger (peeled)
- Caster Sugar: 200g caster sugar
- Brandy: 150ml brandy, rum, amaretto or schnapps
- Clove: 5 cloves
- Cinnamon Stick: 1 cinnamon stick
- Star Anise: 2 star anise
Directions
- Put the orange slices, wine, sugar, cloves, cinnamon, star anise and ginger in a large pan. Warm gently for 10-15 mins, being careful not to let the mixture boil. Add the alcohol, pour into glasses and serve warm.
